The new owners of Southend United Football Club (SUFC), the Custodians of Southend United (COSU), along with the Club’s supporters, have committed to remain at Roots Hall Stadium, the Club’s “spiritual home”. The Stadium needs updating to enhance the match day experience for both supporters and players. The Club has appointed a consultancy team to review options for the Stadium led by AFL Architects. PowerHaus Consultancy is advising on the application approach and consultation with Southend City Council.
